   There is nothing wrong with an animal sleeping on your bed if you do not mind the licking them self noises in the middle of the night, knowing where their feet have been, they probably haven’t had a bath in several weeks, oh and do not forget the possibility of having a flea or two on them. Other than that throw out the welcome mat!

   Yes, my dog does get the foot of the bed.

   It doesn’t really matter, as long as the dog has a bed of it’s own to lay on. Like, something comfortable on the floor.

   it’s not dog abuse to give your dog a nice doggy bed. my dog has her own bed but still just sprawls out across the floor anyway.

   In short, it is totally your call.

   By invite only…but I guess it doesn’t matter since it’s likely your dog can’t climb the ladder up to your bunk

   get her her own bed. if no-one else wants to allow it, she shouldn’t be allowed to. or switch beds with your brother.

   I think should be a joint decison whether the dog can be on the funiture. If not he will only become confused what he is allowed to do.

   My dog is allowed on the beds and sofa but we have taught him to get off when asked otherwise there would be no room for us! (he’s a big dog!)

   Only when you’re with her, because if she decided she wanted to get down at any point, she might just jump, and the hight and forcve of her fall could brake all four of her legs, and she might have to be put down.

   Listen,
   Dogs occasionaly should be allowed to sleep with their owners.
   This is a PRIVELIGE
   If the dog abuses this right, it should be taken away.
   Dog’s must be shown that they’re of the lower dominance. The owner is supposed to be the one in control!!!
   Dog’s have a small understanding when it comes to this, if the owner is too lenient with their dog the dog becomes the dominant and takes advantage of their owner:
   over active barking,
   aggression towards others
   not allowing you to be close to others.
   etc.

   I personally do not believe dogs should be allowed on beds. Beds are for people, besides considering the stuff dogs may roll in or walk in, why anyone allows them in the bed, baffles me.

    My dogs are not sleeping in my bed, cause they sleep in thier crate which are open all night.They got crate trained when they were puppies and they know that if they want to go to bed at night they can go to thier beds. They do come on my couch to snuggle with me, but they know if I say off they have to tget down.
    I peronally dont belive in dogs sleeping with ppl. Dog need to understand that you are the boss in the house . If you allow them everything, like sleeping with you in the bed, they want understand that you are the boss and they will do whatever theyw ant to do and not listen to you.They need to understand that YOU are the pack leader and you tell them what to do.

    Its a personal decision.
    If you had a lower bed and wanted the dog to be on your bed, it would be fine as long as you gave her the permission to get up there and knew to get off when you told her to.
    Our dog Dio sleeps between my husband and I every night.
    It started the first night we got him when he was four months old.
    I patted the bed and told him to get up.
    I asked the animal behaviorist if it was okay that he slept between us and she said that with Dio, it was fine because he listened and didn’t think he was dominant over us.
    Even though he can be a bed hog and has a tendency to lay on my right leg all night, we have continued to allow him to sleep with us because he has bad arthritis in his right front elbow from an injury he suffered when he was only 9 months old.
    I just feel better knowing that for 8 hours he’s laying on a soft surface and resting that elbow.
